Record
Record you and the band to a file.
Press Record and the sound at that moment is kept in a file. Press it again and it stops. It is separate from the Play button. You can record while the band is stopped too.
Record
- Press Record (the color changes while it is on)
- Play
- Press Record again to stop
When the time you set runs out, it stops on its own.
What to record
The button beside Record (it starts as Mix · 20m) opens a screen where you pick the source and the length.
Source has three choices.
- Mix … the same thing you hear in the headphones. You and the band are kept together. While the band is playing, the click (metronome) is written into the file only, so you can find the beat later. It does not come out of the headphones
- Return … your sound only
- Band … piano, bass, and drums only
Length is 1m / 3m / 5m / 10m / 20m (minutes). It starts at 20 minutes.
While you are recording, you cannot change the source or the length. Stop first.
The file
It is kept as 24-bit WAV. The name is built from the date, the time, and the tune name, with the source at the end (a shape like 20260828-201530-feelism_blues-mix.wav).
The save location starts as recordings in Feelism’s folder on this computer. Settings → Files has three buttons.
- Open recordings folder … opens it in File Explorer
- Choose recordings folder … moves it somewhere else
- Reset folder … goes back to the first location
Which to pick
- Listen back to your solo → Mix
- Edit your sound on its own → Return
- Take the backing out as a play-along → Band
The recording stays on this computer only. Feelism does not send it anywhere. What is in the folder is also described in Data folder.
