Publish a pack
Bundle a practice pack and post it on Forum.
Gather practice chart files (MusicXML) into one file, and post that as one Forum post. The author’s display name is the handle. The publisher name is read from inside the gathered file.
Who can post
Someone who has registered on Forum and logged in (email and password. A subscription is not required). You can post from a browser or from Feelism’s Forum. The first time, you choose a handle when you register.
You can delete your own post from Delete on the thread. The thread and the comments stay, and it says “This post was deleted by the author.” The attached ZIP can no longer be shared, but the copy on the server stays.
What is inside the gathered file
Put these at the top of a file with the extension .zip (not one folder down). Size is up to 20MB.
- A guide file (the name is
manifest.json. It is required) - The
.musicxmlfiles named in the guide (letters and digits in the file names. At least 1 tune, and up to 150)
If you have more than 150 tunes, split the ZIP and post more than once.
publisher becomes the folder name (for example player.example). Lowercase letters, digits, and . _ - only. local is reserved for charts you import yourself, so it cannot be used. It is not taken from the ZIP’s file name or from the name shown on Forum.
{
"publisher": "player.example",
"files": [
{ "file": "Tune.musicxml", "title": "Tune" }
]
}
Post
- Open Forum or Forum in the app

- Post a pack

Once it is on the list, you can save and import from the thread (import and Save ZIP are from the app’s Forum). Unzip a saved ZIP and it is .musicxml.crypt. The ZIP you post is still plain MusicXML, as before. The steps are in Forum. To use a chart only on your computer, Import MusicXML in Your own charts is enough.
